A remarkable story
. . .
Captured in the catalog is the story of two great 20th century pioneers, who came together in a remarkable union of medical and artistic genius: Dr. Edmund Klein, the man who found a cure for a form of skin cancer; and painter-genius Salvador Dali. It resulted in a unique collection of original Dali drawings and sketches never before seen by the art world. (Enjoy TV news clip below).
Inscription from Dali secretary Enrique Sabater on a Dali lithograph, also owned by the Klein family: “Pour Doctor Klein con mi mayor afecto y admiracion” (“For Doctor Klein with my great affection and admiration”), signed Enrique Sabater, dated 4/30/76.
